Job Description

HR & People Officer
Temporary - 18 months
Flexible working and office based
Pay - £11.76 an hour increasing to £13.12 after 12 weeks.
Brook Street are looking for a HR and People Officer to join our client within the Public Sector.

JOB SUMMARY
You would be responsible for all matters relating to the prevention, detection and investigation of fraud, bribery and corruption across the business. You will also report to the HR Business Partner and provide a wide range of administrative support, including support to all levels of people within the organisation to ensure delivery of the HR.

MAIN DUTIES
The post holder will provide assurance to the HR Business Partner that the delivery of People functions is conducted in accordance with the organisational strategic objectives. This will be achieved by:

  • Reviewing and tracking changes in employment law, identifying the impact on the organisation and actions required to maintain compliance.

  • Using their own initiative to support the delivery of an effective HR Advisory service, reviewing HR policies and procedures,recommending amendments.

  • Planning and coordinating meetings and preparing papers to discuss HR matters including disciplinary hearings, capability meetings and sickness reviews.

  • Reviewing, analysing and interpreting information on HR matters and make recommendations to all levels within the organisation.

  • Supporting the drafting, review and implementation of HR policies and procedures. Preparing Job descriptions.

  • Collating and loading information onto the TRAC system to support recruitment.

  • Supporting the management of the outsourced transactional element of HR services e.g., evaluation questionnaires, escalating issues.


Qualifications - (Desirable not essential) Diploma/degree in Business Administration / Human Resources or equivalent experience. Either working towards or ready to commence CIPD level 5.
