Job Description

***HR ASSISTANT***

I am delighted to be working with an excellent client, a well-established food and drink wholesalers based in Nottinghamshire! An excellent opportunity for experienced HR assistants, offering great benefits, this is not one to miss!

SALARY: Competitive (dependent on skills and experience)
HOURS: Monday - Friday (Flexible Hours - 8:00 - 16:00, 8:30 - 16:30 or 9:00 - 17:00)
LOCATION: Nottingham, NG7
CONTRACT: Fixed Term 1 Year Contract (Maternity Cover)

THE ROLE:
" Coordinate companywide recruitment processes, including placing job advertisements on company career pages and social platforms.
" Liaising with recruitment agencies, organizing interviews, shortlisting appropriate applicants and take responsibility for the collation of appropriate Right to Work documents and checks throughout the employee's life cycle
" Responsible for the production of contracts for new starters, inductions, employment referencing, driving documents to forward through and support payroll
" Provide advice and levels of coaching support to all areas of management via phone, email, or referral, alongside reporting ER. (Attendance, performance reviews, disciplinary cases, and career development)
" HR administration duties such as filing, producing letters, contract changes and monitoring sickness and absence
" Managing the leavers' process including, internal communications, notifications and exit interviews.
" Construction of probation letters and diary management of 3- & 6-month reviews and annual performance reviews
" Provide monthly HR Board reports for the HR Manager and board of Directors, and keep track of KPI's
" Assist in the development of training programmes for management and staff on all HR systems and databases, following procedure.
" Monthly management of award schemes (employee of the month and service awards)
" Maintaining company uniform stock - replenishment and ordering
" Responsible for running company payroll in the HR managers absence
" Building and maintaining third party relationships (pension scheme providers, recruitment agencies)

THE SUITABLE CANDIDATE WILL NEED:
" Previous HR experience including payroll processing
" Experience using HR and payroll software is preferred (Youmanage/Opera/Horizons)
" Ability to maintain confidential information, following GDPR regulations
" Be a confident and effective communicator, both verbally and in writing
" Organized and have the ability to prioritize workload effectively
" Attention to detail and able to work under pressure
" Competent in all Microsoft packages
" Beneficial to hold a full UK driving license for occasional travel to other Midlands sites
