Job Description

Brook Street Recruitment is working with our client in Derry/ Londonderry ( NORTHERN IRELAND ) to recruit an experienced HR Business Partner for a maternity cover position.

The HR Business Partner will oversee all human resource functions of the Derry / Londonderry and their UK sites facilities. This includes oversight of both manufacturing and salaried /office employees.

The HR Business Partner will be responsible to provide strategic direction and change management support to empower and solve business needs in the areas of talent, culture, and operational excellence. You would be reporting directly into the Operations Director.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Ensuring that safe working practices are adhered to at all times, including wearing PPE as appropriate.
* Acquire knowledge of Health & Safety procedures, work instructions, and associated documentation.
* Comply with all Health & Safety Policies and instructions and actively contribute to company efforts to promote safe behaviour and safe systems of work.
* Ensure all HR team members are managed in accordance with the Company's policies and procedures. Plan, schedule and direct the work efforts of the team. Provides updates and identifies trends on projects, tasks, and progress.
* Responsible for the leadership and mentoring of the HR team, which includes performance feedback, identify and fulfil training requirements of team members.
* HR team communications/meetings provide constructive feedback, visual management, regular performance presentations.
* Build and maintain positive/professional working relationships with internal and external customer base to maximize efficiencies and resolve discrepancies.
* Ensures delivery of annual HR training such as, anti-harassment, core values, etc
* Handles escalated employee inquiries and issues including employee investigations, discipline, termination, etc.
* Provides guidance to leaders regarding employee matters to include performance coaching, performance improvement plans, individual development plans, human capital plans, succession planning, salary planning, etc

ESSENTIAL Criteria

* Bachelor's degree in Business, HR, or related field or 5-7 years of Human Resource experience; experience leading and developing professionals.
* Have obtained, or currently studying a recognised HR/Training qualification to CIPD Level 7 or equivalent.
* Three years or more current Human Resources experience within a manufacturing environment.


The hours of work are 38 per week working Monday - Thursday 08:00 - 17:00 and Friday - 08:00 - 12pm.

Salary for the role will be circa £47,000 per annum
