Job Description

Brook Street is delighted to be recruiting for a leading Belfast client to recruit an HR Business Partner. The position is fixed term for a period of 6 months with a possible extension for a further 6 months

Reporting to the HR Manager, your role will complement an existing team of dedicated HR Business Partners you will work in partnership with management and staff and provide professional advice and guidance across all aspects of the function, to deliver a wide range of best practice, quality HR services, assisted by a comprehensive HR administrative support service

DUTIES

* Operate recruitment and selection processes to ensure the appointment of staff in an effective manner and in compliance with the organisation`s equality policies;
* Manage, co-ordinate and report centrally on staffing matters and HR service delivery within the business groups allocated to you, ensuring effective use of staffing resources;
* Anticipate and respond to employee-related issues (eg absence management, performance management, grievances, disciplinary situations, etc)
* Ensuring that management are appropriately advised, that action is fully documented and taken in line with organisations policy and current legislation, and that consistency of approach is maintained across the business;
* Contribute to the development and embedding of an organisational culture focused on effectively managing performance to deliver personal, team and corporate objectives;
* Contribute to the development and improvement of corporate HR policies, reflecting business needs, best practice and legislative requirements, and provide management and staff with guidance and direction on their interpretation and implementation;

REQUIREMENTS

* Previous experience or recruitment and selection is essential
* CIPD qualification is essential
* 3-5 years` experience in a similar role
* Ability to demonstrate knowledge and track record of dealing with performance management and capability issues, attendance management procedures and disciplinary, grievance and equality issues

Salary will be between £30,526 and £32,157 depending on experience
