JOB ROLE
Title of Role: Hygiene Team Lead
Salary: £12.50 per hour - equates to 8.5 x 5 = £27,625
Breaks: 15-minute tea break and a 20-minute food break
Managing: 2 others, both on backshift
Working hours: Can do 2-11 or 3-12 or nightshift, whatever they want

Job Description
- Maintenance of the hygiene cleaning schedule
- Planning and management of cleaning factory equipment including filling machines, tanks, as well as the environment; floors, walls and ceilings
- Management of tasks completed by hygiene operatives
- Active involvement in completing hygiene tasks and support team
- Support with the training and development of the hygiene team as well as disciplinary proceedings where required
- Assist with creating, maintaining, implementing, and reviewing of cleaning procedures
- Main point of contact for chemical supplier; coordinating and supporting visits
- Maintenance of hygiene trace ability documentation
- Aid in investigations of any failed food contact or ATP swab results
- Actively involved in supporting the close out of any hygiene related non-conformance's raised during internal and external audits, including root cause analysis and implementation of preventative action to prevent re-occurrence
- Identify improvement opportunities in relation to hygiene requirements and where applicable, implement change to drive continuous improvement
- Ensure compliance with BRCGS standard and customer codes of practice and guidance documents
- Ensure compliance with company procedures for Health & Safety
Preferred Experience
- Experience working in a hygiene role within dairy or food related industry
- Intermediate Food Hygiene
- Knowledge of BRC standards and food safety
- Computer literate in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet and Email
- Ability to develop and lead a team
- Ability to work with the site team and the wider business team
- Good manufacturing practice knowledge
- Organised and systematic approach with ability to effectively prioritise workload
- Creative problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work on own initiative, applying knowledge and experience to different situations
- Good written and verbal communication skills at all levels
- Flexibility on working hours and demands of the role
