Job Description
Our fantastic FMCG client based in Newark are looking for a Night Shift Hygiene Team Leader to join their company working 5 nights a week, Monday through to Thursday 21.30 - 06.30.
This role will be split between supervision and operating manufacturing process. You would be directly responsible for the activity and output of operators rotating on a shift system.
First line management duties will be required including supporting the recruitment process, ensuring health & Safety rules and regulations are followed, supporting disciplinary and grievance investigations and general support to onsite management.
Main Accountabilities:
" Meeting deadlines (On Time Delivery) according to Production Plan.
" Ensure equipment is hygienically cleaned prior to build up of operations.
" Inspect equipment for damage or wear prior to assembly.
" Control of waste towards the targets.
" Drive and control requirements from Production to Maintenance to keep machines running productively.
" Continuous Improvement (Kaizen).
" Improve shop floor layout with consideration to continuous improvement.
" People Management with support of Production Shift Manager and HR (efficiency, overtime, absences, holidays, disciplinary).
" People development (Informal 1:1's).
" Ensure hygiene schedules are completed and up to date in manager's absence.
" Comply with all relevant Health, Safety and Environment regulations and exercise a Duty of Care promoting a positive approach towards workplace health and safety.
Person Requirements:
o Minimum 3 years practical and supervisory experience within manufacturing environment to food industry standard.
o Understands company procedures and is aware of customer requirements.
o Computer literate
o Ability to work under pressure, self-motivated and to use initiative.
o Decision making skills.
o Good communication skills.
o Team Leader with the ability to set goals for team to achieve.
o Performance Management.
o Absence Management
o Disciplinary investigations.
