We have an exciting new job opportunity available in Chelmsford to join a reputable and respected company as an Import Co-ordinator. This role will see you reporting to and working with the Operations Manager as well as closely working with customers, clients and agents.
As an Import Co-ordinator, the primary duty is to liaise between customers, suppliers and transport companies to ensure efficient deliveries. This will involve managing all aspects of the import process and require you to obtain and communicate all information both internally and externally to ensure the customer's needs are met. You will need to effectively liaise between suppliers, forwarders and agents to gain up to date information and provide these updates to customers so they are aware of progress. You will also need to update other parties such as transport companies so the process runs smoothly and ensure all correct documentation is correctly filed. All files must be costed and billed correctly in accordance with procedures and you may need to cover export operations and other duties on occasion to assist the company provide a sterling service.

To be successful in your application, you will need experience of working in an airfreight imports department.
