This is a great opportunity to join a company based in Trafford Park. The main focus of this role is to oversee and manage the Import and Export shipping team to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the process, meeting customer expectations for delivery on time and in full for both inbound and outbound deliveries

The company requires someone who has experience of both import and export processes and has a good understanding of Brexit and the exit from the EU customs union. A hands on person who will support and mentor 2 other people in the team.

Responsibilities will include:
Export & Shipping Process:
Use expertise in sea freight and export air documentation to ensure that all exports are documented correctly;
Working with UK site operatives and Regional 3rd Party hubs, ensure that we provide and process the appropriate export documentation required by each country;
Ensure that all appropriate export laws and regulations are adhered to
Import and inbound deliveries
Understanding of Import process and procedures from inside and outside EU
Be able to compile and complete customs declarations
Work with clearing agents and freight forwarders and suppliers to ensure compliance with regulations and goods are not held up
Experience in sea, land freight and export air documentation to ensure that all imports are documented correctly;

Regulatory Reporting and Compliance:
Manage all aspects of reporting for international shipping compliance;
EC sales for VAT;
Marine insurance declarations;
Implement and maintain AEO process.
Import and customs clearance compliance
BREXIT compliance

Team Leadership
Coach team to support continuous improvement in capability;

You should have experience in all of the above areas of responsibility and clear communication skills. Able to coach and mentor a team and be a real hands on person, able to work with your team to manage processes
