Job Description

Are you looking for a new role as a Sales Manager? My client is offering a fantastic opportunity to join their team as an In-House Sales Manager. They are a well-established, family owned business which deals with Electronics which they both manufacture at their Head Office and sell to customers worldwide!

You'll be working with six other people in the office, in a relaxed informal environment. On a day to day basis you'll be responsible for loading orders from online, emails and calls and dispatching to the Warehouse. You'll be dealing with a lot of customers, establishing their needs, sending quotes and following up.

Full training will be given on the job however you will be expected to hit the ground running.This is a wonderful chance to join the team and build on your career, and would suit an experienced Sales Administrator/Manager looking to move to the next level. The will also be opportunities to assist Sales & Marketing projects such as exhibitions and creating marketing content. This is a varied and busy vacancy and requires someone with confidence and positive outlook.

You must have the following to apply for this role:

  • Experience with Sales Order Processing
  • Confident with face to face meetings
  • Knowledge of SAGE or SAP or similar
  • Good communicator
  • Knowledge of the electrical market and/or electrical experience
  • Managerial experience - you will initially be managing two other members of the team


The Role / Main Responsibilities:

  • Managing the in-house sales team including invoicing and other Sales Admin activities
  • Administering Sales Orders, communicating delivery dates to customers, organising shipping and producing and sending quotations
  • Answering incoming calls to support customers (including technical queries)
  • Deal with emails in a fast-paced environment
  • Maintaining and developing relationships with existing customers and expanding the customer base by adding new customers to the business
  • Closing open quotations, managing projects and chasing sales opportunities
  • Making outbound sales calls proactively for potential customers
  • Attending customer meetings, assisting with Trade shows and exhibitions
  • Developing sales strategies and setting targets
  • Compiling and analysing sales figures


Experience / Skills required:

  • Previous Sales Order Processing / customer service experience essential
  • Knowledge of Sage 50 or similar Sales Order Processing software desirable
  • Confident communication skills (face-to-face, email and telephone)
  • Self-motivated
  • Being analytical, creative and self-driven
  • Good teamwork and networking
  • Personal organisation
  • Ability to travel with occasional overnight visits away from home
  • Live within commuting distance of North London
  • Full driving licence


Position Details:

  • Hours of work - Monday to Thursday 8.30 to 5.00 and early finish on Fridays 8.30 to 4.30
  • Salary 30k plus healthy uncapped bonus (dependant on performance)
  • 4 weeks holiday
  • Pension scheme
