Job Description

I am looking for an infrastructure engineer for a leading technology company based in Bradford.

The salary on offer is up to £40,000 basic with excellent benefits packages

The successful candidate will possess at least 4 years' experience in a SysAdmin / Infrastructure role and have a solid understanding of: Windows Server 2008 R2 to 2016; networking, protocols and technologies used (Firewalls/LB's, etc); IIS (understanding the configurations within IIS, both application pool and website specific).

Reporting to the Head of Service Delivery, and working closely with our current Infrastructure Engineer, you will design and build environments, and monitor them. Daily tasks will include monitoring all server resources, managing alerts, and dealing with tickets from hosting providers. Possessing good communication and documentation skills, you will pro-actively work to prevent the occurrence of incidents and issues that affect service quality.

o Utilise knowledge of SQL Server to perform database related checks and create SQL scripts
o Utilise basic knowledge of .NET, XML and PowerShell scripting
o Diagnose the root cause of problems; check to see if the problem has occurred before; recreate the failure on a test system to establish the most appropriate and cost-effective resolution
o Control and management of all configuration items of the IT infrastructure including all documentation, software, hardware and firmware assets, including information relating to the configuration items, their dependencies and relationships. Ensure that all records are complete, current and accurate
