Insolvency Finance Administrator (Full-time) - Business Recovery & Insolvency Dept
To be based either in Dundee or Edinburgh
The Business Recovery & Insolvency Department of this Accountancy firm provides timely, focused and objective advice to a range of corporate entities and individuals. Aiming to produce the best outcome for creditors, owners and individuals.

On behalf of my client, I am looking to recruit an Insolvency Finance Administrator, to join this busy department. The post holder will be responsible for the creation and maintenance of multiple bank accounts administered by the department, setting up of new client files and providing administration support to the team.

This position would suit a team player with a flexible and proactive attitude.

Main Responsibilities are:
Overseeing all outward payments for the department. ensuring that all payment requests are correct, properly supported and authorise ensuring that all expected receipts are received, properly supported by documentation, recorded correctly.
Preparation and submission of monthly bond submission to insurers and ICAS
Regular reconciliation of bank accounts
Maintaining accurate ledger accounts for each case, posting all transactions and ensuring that reconciled
Preparation, submission and chasing of VAT reclaims from HMRC
Submission of documents to Companies House, HMRC and Court
General assistance to other members of department when needed including uploaded mail to online postal system

Requirements:

Excellent numeracy, attention to detail and high degree of accuracy are essential
Educated to Higher grade (or equivalent) with a pass in Maths and English essential
HNC/D in a Business/ Finance related subject desirable
A minimum of 2 years` office experience desirable
Previous insolvency experience desirable
Highly organised and able to cope with multiple responsibilities
Competent in double entry bookkeeping and journal preparation and posting
Comprehensive knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook & PowerPoint)
