Job Description

I am recruiting for a Commercial Renewals Account Handler for a leading UK Insurance Broker based on the outskirts of Solihull, they are offering a basic salary of up to £25,000 + bonus

THE ROLE
As a Renewals Account Handler, you`ll be responsible for the account handling of commercial lines customers with risks ranging from Motor Trade, Property Owners, Commercial Combined and Fleet. With the help of the senior management team you will look to identify opportunities to grow the book through offering relevant cross sales and referral leads. On average you will have a portfolio of 40-50 accounts to retain each month where you will have access to work with over 200 insurers to ensure they get the best products/price on the market.

A leading and longstanding UK independent insurance broker who offer support to and cover a wide range of sectors including but certainly not limited to commercial, property, motor, specialist and personal.

TYPICAL DAILY JOB DUTIES - WHAT WILL YOU BE RESPONSIBLE FOR?
- Managing the retention of a portfolio of roughly 40-50 commercial clients on a monthly basis
- Be a point of referral within the team
- Organise daily work to ensure compliance is met at all times
- Liaise with Underwriters to help secure the retention of clients
- Identify new markets, schemes and other opportunities to help grow the Business
- Maintain retention rates

PERSON SPECIFICATION
- 2+ years thorough commercial combined and/or commercial package insurance knowledge
- Previous retention/renewals account handling experience is essential
- Experience working within insurance brokerage is ideal
- Excellent customer service skills
- Able to communicate effectively and professionally with others (directors, colleagues and external clients), both verbally and in writing
- Organised and pro-active
- Stable work history, be able to explain reasons for leaving previous positions
