Job Description

Brook Street Recruitment is working with our Belfast client to recruit a new Internal Sales Agent on a fixed term contract for a period of 11 months

Working as part of the Home Energy Support Team, the challenging position will require an energetic and motivated individual.

The role will firstly involve focusing on new customer acquisition and secondly on the retention of existing customers to drive net customer growth in the domestic sector.

The successful candidate will be required to build relationships both internally and externally and who can work in a fast paced and dynamic environment that is target led. - Prior distance selling experience is highly desirable for this role.

Success will be measured by:

o Customer creation
o Customer retention
o Volume and conversion rate of calls
o Improved data capture and customer insight

Main responsibilities:

* Increasing customer creation through selling the company domestic proposition to off natural gas grid customers
* Clearly identify and quantify potential customer needs utilising a consultative selling approach
* Guide new customers through the client journey to on boarding ensuring a seamless experience
* Demonstrate a positive customer focused attitude in all interactions with customers
* Ensure that the relevant value proposition is clearly communicated and understood by the customer
* Through pro-active outbound calling, increase customer retention of existing customers with targeted and attractive propositions to renew their contract with the company
* Market awareness, keep up to date with the domestic sector energy trends
* Participate in relevant training modules and up skill in the areas of tank siting, LPG product and safety knowledge
* Contribute to the company safety culture by always acting in a safe and responsible manner
* Accurately capture and feedback customer insight in a structured manner to help develop future customer propositions and to provide broader market insight
* Utilise systems such as CRM and ERP as required by the role
* Meet KPIs as set by line manager
* Attend meetings as required

This role will have elements of flexible working; evening and weekend hours will be required

Any other duties as deemed reasonable by management


Hold GCSE qualifications (or equivalent)
Have experience working with CRM systems - Microsoft Dynamics / or similar
Ideally be able to draw on experience of distance selling, specifically over the telephone within a customer centre environment, utilising multi-channel contact methods
Have a strong track record of delivery in sales activities
Demonstrate the ability to create positive, sustainable relationships with key stakeholders
Have a proactive approach with the ability to maintain excellent customer service levels through understanding your customers' motivations
Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively and professionally in all forms of communication with internal and external customers
Possess self-motivation and be target focused, achieving goals and objectives
Be able to draw on the ability to persuade and influence
Have tangible experience of delivering results and meeting customer expectations
Demonstrate the ability to adapt and respond to change, coping with pressures and setbacks Demonstrate awareness of the market and opportunities for new business
Have strong IT literacy - good working knowledge of Excel and Microsoft office applications

Salary for the role will start on £27,000 plus 20% Bonus/Commission paid quarterly
