Job Description

My camberley based client is looking for an Internal Sales Engineer to join their busy commercial team.
They are looking for a key team player with a solid background in Machining & Fabrication, commercial acumen and a business winning mentality allied to excellent supplier and customer liaison and interaction skills
This exciting and rewarding role will give the successful applicant an opportunity to be involved in initial review, estimating of and ultimately winning work for the wide ranging portfolio of products and services we provide to our clients.


Involved in multiple industries including Aero Space, Defence, Marine, Oil & Gas and Automotive. They have celebrated there 50th anniversary in 2015 and enjoy an enviable order book with a growing customer base. We offer a class leading "All on one site" end to end service from design input, Large & Small CNC machining, Fabrication through to Assembly, inspection and documentation.


Job Description
Reporting to the Director and General Manager you will be responsible for providing accurate competitive and timely quotations for our wide range of products and services. Together with the requirement to follow these up with customers to build long and lasting business relationships to grow these accounts.
Knowledge and experience of this processes involved is essential.


Key Tasks:
" Review enquiries and evaluate all relevant information, ensuring products we quote are within our capabilities and are right for the business.
" Understand our internal processes and costs and determine the most efficient method of manufacture and cost accordingly ensuring any risk is identified.
" Source any materials or Sub-Contact services required to build-up the pricing structure.
" Build relationships with and knowledge of key customers products and requirements
" Communicate effectively with our clients throughout, and post, the quoting process.
" Ensure that our project, production and quality teams are given an effective handover on work secured.
" Ensure your time is well managed and utilised to best satisfy both the wider team and our customer requirements
Knowledge and Experience Required
" You will possess a solid machining background with some fabrication preferably gained within a subcontract environment.
" You will have had experience in an estimating role preferably within a sub-contract environment
" Be an individual with a "Can Do" attitude and a desire to win work
" Have a good understanding of engineering materials.
" Have sound commercial & customer acumen
" Have good communication skills, be a team player, and comfortable with the pressures of working to time deadlines.
