Job Description

Are you an Internal Sales Support Engineer looking for a new challenge? Do you have a strong track record, ideally in the industrial automation sales sector?

If so, this could be the perfect role for you.

Working at the client's head office in the Runcorn area, you will be responsible for system consultancy and advanced solution proposals of DCS (Distributed Control System) and SIS (Safety Instrumented System).

The company have recently celebrated their 100th birthday and are globally known, with a global network of 112 companies spanning 61 countries which has seen them enter in FY2017.

A competitive annual salary ranging between £30,000-£35,000 (depending on experience).

Flexible working hours - Monday to Thursday (08:30 - 17:00) with Friday (08:30-16:30)

Your day to day duties will be:

Working closely with the front line sales team in terms of presenting technical solutions to clients

Liaising with the systems engineering team and the product manager for systems and engineering discussions.

Updating, when necessary, new products, enhancement, procedures and tools as relevant to that specific department of the Systems business and offering of total solutions.

Notify senior management of any training or other supporting facilities that would be considered if necessary to improve the overall sales support functions.

Working closely with the administrative team to able to ensure projects are billed as per agreed to milestones and then closed off.

To be considered for this role, you must have the following:

Experience within an industrial automation vendor environment

Understanding of networking, MIS Systems and computer integration

Strong Microsoft Word and Excel skills

Hold an engineer degree or any equivalent experience

Although these requirements aren't essential, you would also ideality have experience in a sales support of process control systems and engineering services or an equivalent to this alongside being trained in technical presentation and negotiation skills. SAP will be the company's main system so experience on this system is also desirable.
