Job Description

IT and Communications Executive
Inverness Based (some travel - Scotland)
£27k +

A very exciting opportunity to join a business at a key critical growth phase. In this role, you will undertake the role you will manage and maintain the organisations IT and Communication network. You will be the primary contact point in respect for all IT and Communiations infrastructure (with support from outsourced serviced providers).

You will also perform a first response help desk service to support colleagues and address issues arising relating to hardware and software.

The role
Manage information technology, computer systems and communications networks
Plan, organise, control and evaluate IT and digital based operations
Design, develop, implement and co-ordinate systems, policies and procedures
Ensure security of data, network access and back up systems
Audit systems and digital processes and provide recommendations for improvement
Identify problematic areas and implement strategic solutions in time
Preserve IT assets, information security and control structures
Manage annual budget and ensure cost effectivemess
Explore and process map new ways to automate systems
Scope, test and implement new equipment and processes
Train users on new and existing systems
Provide cross functional support for projects having IT or communications requirements
Maintain IT asset list and inventory and manage requests for new equipment
Periodic travel to company sites required (throughout Scotland including the Islands)
Requirement to work flexibly around core hours to meet the needs of an operational business

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
IT based qualification
Proven working experience as an IT lead or revlevant experience
Helpdesk experience (breadth of understanding)
Familiarity with networking principles
Familiarity with Microsoft 365 and administration
Experience with active directory systems
Experience of working with VoIP communications
Previous project manaagment and implementation experience
Strong leadership and problem-solving skills
Excellent organisational Skills and attention to detail
Driving license
