Brook Street Recruitment is working with our client in Antrim to recruit an IT Manager

Primary Responsibilities

o Managing small team of IT staff
o Developing and maintaining existing in-house developed applications
o Provide support for the various company sites in Northern Ireland
o Supervising daily operations of network and server infrastructure
o Aligning IT infrastructure with current and future business requirements and goals
o Managing IT budgets, forecast, handling cash flow and enforcing cost-effectiveness
o Evaluating risk, developing network recovery and back-up processes
o Assessing and purchasing new and replacement hardware
o Liaising with, and monitoring, suppliers for cost effectiveness and performance
o Testing, troubleshooting and adjusting information systems to operate effectively
o Implementing security of the network, data and its storage and communication systems
o Any other ad-hoc duties which may be required Candidate Specification


Essential:

o Educated to degree level or equivalent
o 5+ years' experience of working in an IT environment
o Experience leading and managing IT projects and rolling out IT infrastructure
o Sound knowledge of Laravel, PHP, HTML, CSS, MySQL, Unit Testing, Git, Linux.
o Excellent working knowledge of computer systems, security, network and systems administration, databases, data storage systems and phone systems
o Strong critical thinking and decision making skills
o The ability to multi-task but also to prioritise.
o Ability to work alone as well as part of a team
o Ability to be proactive c
o Good communication skills

Hours of Work: 9.00am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday (one hour lunch)
Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience ( circa £45k per anum )
