Temporary Contract
Monday- Friday 9am-5pm
37hrs per week
Pay rate starts at £10.80 Increasing to £12.00 after 12 working weeks
Job Role - IT Support
"We are looking for energetic and enthusiastic individuals to join us in developing a HMPPS Social Navigating Model aimed at reducing reoffending based on the current health approach. This will be delivered by introducing a new role in the form of a navigator within a designated area who, operationally, will look to link in with any existing community schemes and resources with a view to improve connections to the local community. For example, providing support to an individual to join a smoking cessation group or community activities such as park run, or to feel comfortable to join a local hobbies group such as arts and crafts, with family members or significant others. The specific activities will be relevant to the local area and tailored to the needs of the individual.

The job holder will be required to carry out the following responsibilities, activities and duties:
o Developing effective relationships with relevant partners, stakeholders and commissioners in the community setting and work with them to improve cross agency understanding on roles and responsibilities.
o Building a detailed understanding of the local community, mapping existing resources and identifying gaps taking a solution focused approach.
o Building a detailed understanding of the internal landscape around services or interventions delivered via the CRS or other schemes/projects under development to avoid duplication.
o Where the services exist, provide direct support to improve better service integration with probation.
o Responsible for building in a legacy of good practice from this role e.g. detailed processes/tools for partners and probation staff to use to facilitate the sharing of appropriate information and products to inform operational policy/health and partners leads/staff."
Typical qualifications and experience: five GCSEs at Grade C or above or equivalent (including English Language or equivalent), NVQ Business Administration Level 2, or suitable clerical experience. Administrative experience with a good knowledge of and experience in using Microsoft Office. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
