We are currently partnered with an IT outsourcing business based in Woking, seeking an IT Support Engineer to join them on a full time permanent basis starting as soon as possible. Initially the role will be full time remote however in the future you will be expected to work from the office two days per week. There will be elements of field based work, travelling and working on-site with clients in the Croydon area.
Using Citrix, you will be remotely accessing client computers to troubleshoot and fix IT problems on their behalf, working closely with the MD to retain and bring on new clients through word of mouth. Typical clients currently include retail and healthcare businesses, so no two days are the same giving you variety and interesting issues to fix.
There will be times where you'll need to be on call for remotely accessing client systems out of hours - any work done on call will be paid accordingly.
Typical knowledge required includes Office 365, Active Directory, Windows Servers, Networking, VLAN, and Microsoft Azure. You will be an all rounder with good general technical knowledge, able to learn on the job and quickly solve issues in a timely manner whilst maintaining professionalism.
Hours of work are Monday to Friday 8.30am-5.30pm plus occasional on-call work out of hours.
A starting salary of approx. £25,000 is on offer, however this could be increased for the right candidate. You will receive 20 days annual leave plus bank holidays, and a bonus scheme will be coming into place in the next 6-12 months where you will be rewarded for retaining and bringing on new clients to the business.
