Job Description

We are To be responsible for being at the forefront of the support team and providing an efficient 2nd line IT support. The role will also involve to collaborate with the main IT Infrastructure Manager (based in the Paris Campus) to maintain/implement infrastructure solutions.

The job is paying £30,383.00 per year with the benefits of 22 days holiday + bank holidays, Pension and parking.To apply for this role, you will need a background in using / doing the following things, Linux, Cisco, VMware, Troubleshooting, HTML and JAVA.

Your duties include:
-Implement new tutorials for staff/students;
-Support academic staff, students and programme office on daily basis issues;
-Blackboard Basic support.
-Assist users with the primary needs on the diverse areas of support: install/update software, AV
facilities;
-Train new staff/students on IT/ AV facilities (inductions);
-To create, maintain and publish support documentation of current IT infrastructure including
servers, room layouts (ports), to establish a pool of reference data.
-To manage aspects of IT support services, including desktop PCs, laptops, WIFI and LAN
-Manage Cisco switches and support network infrastructure;
-To manage the administration of the telephone system, involving extension moves, new
numbers and patching.
-Operate and implement management tools (VMWare; Ghost etc);
-Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise on the desktop/LAN infrastructure

-Interact with servers and control services (Linux servers/ Windows Servers on the solutions - DHCP, KMS, machine deployment)
