Job Description


IT SUPPORT TECHNICIAN
FIFE
£22 - £27,500K

The primary function of this role will be to provide 2nd line support to our users (60%). The role will also include supporting the 1st line (25%) and working on and supporting with IT projects (15%).

This role sits within the Group IT and has responsiblities to cover all locations (Worldwide) as well as our mobile locations

You will
Focus on creating documentation that encourages standard working practices and shares knowledge amongst others in the team and our user community
Provide pro-active and prioritised and effective reactive support to our users
In accordance with the Head of IT, deliver and participate in projects within the agreed scope and to a high quality
Focus on personal development. Take ownership for progression. Input to 1:1 meetings and create a detailed development plan together with your line manager

The Person
Seeking to find someone who is confident in their own skills and abilities, someone who can take a task and run with it whilst being able to stick within the parameters of a given scope. You must be a forward-thinking individual who embraces change and is willing to take on any challenge

You MUST have the following skills/knowledge:
Knowledge of supporting Windows 10 Laptops and Computers
Experience working in an Environment where there is an importance placed on following policies and procedures
Experience working directly with users of all levels. Providing advice and support in a professional and calm manner
Knowledge and experience or troubleshooting and translating complex technical issues to users/colleagues

Knowledge and experience of 0365 (Teams, User Management, SharePoint, Yammer)
Knowledge and experience of Active Directory (User and Group management)

It would be DESIRABLE to have the following skills/knowledge
Experience in IT infrastructure (Servers, Networks, IPT, Azure etc)
Experience with Sharepoint/Form designers and Power Automate
Experience of 0365 administration/deployments
Experience in executing IT Change
Knowledge of ISO 27001
Experience in Cisco Meraki
Experience with Marine Based IT
