Job Description
Job title - IT Support
Salary - Up to £27,000 per annum
Hours of work - 4 on 4 off / Day Shift
Summary of Job:
Reporting to the IT Technical Lead, you will be responsible for assisting the day to day resolution or escalation of first- and second-line IT Support issues.
Key Activities, you will be supporting:
- Talking staff/team members through a series of actions, either face to face or over the telephone
- Troubleshooting system and network problems and diagnosing and solving hardware/software faults
- Working closely with team members from time to time to assist with projects or issues outside of your local site.
- Promoting and maintaining excellent lines of communication throughout the support team
- Working continuously on a task until completion (or referral to third parties/other team members, if appropriate)
- Replacing parts as required
- Providing support on IT issues
- Rapidly establishing a good working relationship with other professionals
- Prioritising and managing several tasks at one time
- Following diagrams and written instructions to repair a fault or set up a system
- To monitor the local IT infrastructure, including key systems
- Responding within agreed time limits to support calls
- Testing new technologies relevant to users, site or projects
Experience / Knowledge:
- Understanding of relevant risk assessments and trained as competent to safe working procedures.
- 1 year+ in similar role or IT apprentice
