Job Description
Brook Street is working on behalf of our client in Ballyclare to recruit a full time and permanent IT Support Technician,
The IT Support Technician will be responsible for supporting the existing IT team in the day-to-day operations and maintenance of Company IT systems. The role will be predominately based at the company Head Quarters in Ballyclare but will also require travel to other sites across the province.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Providing first line IT support to end users - PC`s / Printers / IT equipment / Applications etc
- Managing daily queries and resolving through to completion
- Completing desktop application installations and troubleshooting
- Dealing with and managing connectivity issues - wireless and phones and providing support for telecoms (both fixed line and mobiles)
- Dealing with diagnostic and configuration issues
- Supporting the IT team in conducting training and providing support materials for internal staff on systems e.g. Dealerpoint, Fusion, CRM, MS Office Applications, SharePoint
- Analysing, reporting on and providing suggestions for improving systems and their usage across the business
- Providing general advice on IT standards
- Ad hoc duties commensurate with the position
Essential Criteria
- Possess a minimum of 1 year`s relevant and recent IT support experience in a busy office environment
- Demonstrable track record of providing support of PC`s, laptops, printers etc.
- Demonstrable experience of providing support for MS Windows 8 and 10, Office 2013 onwards M365
- Demonstrable experience of providing support with MS Windows Server 2012, 2016 and 2019. Server administration (AD, DNS, DHCP, GPO), delivered via both physical and virtual methods.
- Strong working knowledge of Cloud tech - Office 365/Azure
- Demonstrable experience of Lan/Wan/Firewall/VPN
- Experience of educating and supporting others in use of IT systems and applications
- Flexibility around out of hours work and travel to and across different locations
- Possess a valid, full UK driving licence and have access to own transport
The hours of work are 8.30-17.00 Monday to Friday
Salary will depend on background - circa 28K per annum
