Start date: ASAP
Hours: Monday to Friday, rota basis between 8-5
Location: Newburn Business Park
Pay: £10.19 p/h, increasing to £12.98 p/h after the first 12 weeks

We have an exciting opportunity to work within a well established public sector organisation as an IT Technician based at Newburn Business Park. Do you have a wide range of IT knowledge and IT support skills? If it sounds like you, read on.

We are looking for a skilled IT Technician to fulfil the role, which will include:

-Supporting, administering, monitoring, securing and developing the local networks.
-Providing 2nd line support to end users and other colleagues.
-Ensuring the availability, resilience and recoverability of network services.
-Working closely with 1st line service desk staff and with staff in other teams to provide excellent customer support.
-Ensuring all calls are resolved within the resolution target time.
-Assist in the management and support of the IT systems, including server hardware, personal computer, commination hardware, telephone system and application software.
-Build and configure computer equipment (desktops, laptops etc.) in with the client requirements.
-Working as part of a team of 4 resolving IT queries.

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

-Excellent communication skills both verbally and written
-A wide range of IT skills and knowledge
-Previous IT technician experience would be desirable
