Job Description

Brook Street Recruitment is working with our Belfast client who is looking to hire Junior Freight Forwarder to support their busy exports team.

Reporting to senior staff - the candidate hired will be responsible for organising efficient movement of containers across the world, ensuring the customer is kept up to date, whilst also learning on the job about pricing and shipping routes.

General Duties:
Routing/Tracking of Containers globally
Utilising Ocean Freight
Booking Software
Communicating with customers via phone and email regarding delivery and collection requirements Accurate completion of Invoices/Credit Control
Inputting data accurately

Criteria

Applicants must have some previous Transport/Logistics experience
Comfortable dealing with people on the phone and confident in replying to emails
Must be organised and have great attention to detail

Willing to learn on the job - The right attitude is essential for this role as it is an extremely fast paced and rapidly changing environment

Salary up to £22,500
