We are currently working with a small manufacturing company based in Gainsborough who are looking for a Junior Joiner to join their team on a full time permanent basis.

We are looking for a factory workshop based, junior level wood shop joiner with good knowledge of wood shop machinery and wood materials. The idea candidate will have achieved Level 2 City and Guilds qualification or be working towards.

Job role:
" Operating a range of industrial wood working machines, including table saw, bandsaw, mitre saw, pillar drill, router and sanding machines, is an essential requirement for this role;
" Ability to work with hand tools, as well as electric and air powered, hand held machines and tools;
" Basic bench joinery and attention to detail;
" Assisting with the cutting of wood sheet material and timber lengths for upholstery carcases;
" Assisting colleagues with gluing and foaming would be an advantage. Training can be given;
" Ability to read drawings would be an advantage;
" Polishing/wet spraying ability would be an advantage - training available;
" Good time keeping and punctuality is expected;
" Immediately report all discovered damage or faults in components, or finished product, to the wood shop supervisor;
" Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and co-workers;
" Maintain high standard of factory cleanliness and housekeeping;
" Report all accidents/incidents immediately;
" Follow all safety rules, regulations and procedures.


My client is looking for the right candidate who can produce accurate, high quality work within a small wood shop team. They require someone with a flexible attitude and a hands on approach.

The salary will be between 15,300 - 16,600 depending on skills and experience.
