Job Description

My Guildford based client is looking for a Junior Network Engineer to design, implement, maintain, and support our growing network infrastructure. You will be part of a team that is responsible for designing and developing scalable, maintainable, highly available network architectures that meet business objectives and SLAs.

The role is within the Network Operation Centre team in Guildford for LAN/WAN technical support engineer and reporting to the IT & Network Services Manager.

The candidate will be a CCNA qualified engineer or with working knowledge at this level with up to 1 year experience delivering Cisco and/or HP WAN and LAN solutions. Exposure and knowledge of VMWARE technologies would be highly beneficial.

This role will involve a variety of tasks with customers and the duties will include systems design, implementation and subsequent support. You will be responsible for developing the detailed configuration designs, testing implementation and integration plans which allow the solution to be delivered. You may be involved in pre-build and the early stages of on-site implementation and providing post-sales support. It is an office based role although you will be required to attend customer sites or Data Centres occasionally.
