Hours: 37 per week. Flexible between 7.00am-7.00pm, Mon-Fri.
Our client the DWP delivers services to over 20 million claimants and customers a year. The DWP is responsible for helping people move into employment, supporting pensioners and protecting some of the most vulnerable in our society. As an essential public service, they help people lift themselves out of poverty and to stay out of poverty, through work, saving and support.
As a kit deployment assistant you work as part of a small team who are responsible for the management and deployment of mobile devices to staff within the DWP network. You must be a self-starter and able to quickly grasp a range of IT & IOS processes. Good communication skills are essential in the role.
What the role involves;
"Issuing new devices to users and dealing with deployment to users working from home. There will manual handling of devices.
"Coordination of collection of devices that have been returned to the department as no longer needed, requiring disposal.
Some experience of the tasks would be preferred but is not essential. The key requirement is for someone to be enthusiastic and passionate about wanting to learn about the role and the wider aspects of Mobile Devices.

Due to the DBS check, you must have been a resident in the UK for five consecutive years, spending no longer than six months abroad during this period.
