Job Description

This is a fantastic opportunity to give back to the community by helping our client to prepare and serve breakfasts and sandwiches in their dining room in Bradford.

The position is temporary, for at least 2 months.

Working on food preparation you will have a vital role to play working with the catering team to ensure that the service meets all contractual and legislative requirements, especially in respect of health and safety regulations. The food presented should be appetising and nutritional recognising high standards and reasonable cost.

You will need the following:
" A relevant qualification in food/preparation cooking or catering at NVQ Level 2 or equivalent
" Knowledge of Health and Safety requirements in a catering environment
" Experience of working effectively as part of a team and alone
" Experience of working safely with tools and kitchen equipment
" Ability to work unsupervised and to produce nutritious, economical, well presented meals of good quality to meet clients` needs
" Ability to form good working relationships with other staff
" Effective verbal and written communication skills with staff at all levels
" Work shifts, unsociable hours, weekend work - flexible approach to hours worked

You will be working with disadvantaged people so must have the tact, diplomacy and understanding that is necessary to work in a sometimes challenging environment.

This position is for 25 hours per week. Although challenging you will be working in a highly rewarding position where you can make a really positive difference to people`s lives.

The pay rate is £8.72 per hour and you would be paid weekly.
