Job Description

Brookstreet are delighted to be supporting our client in Newcastle Upon Tyne in their search for a Learning and Development Business Partner to support the delivery of the people strategy by providing effective and efficient L&D service, and we are equally excited in introducing this opportunity to you!

Your main responsibilities


" Engage and work collaboratively with managers and HR Business Partners to support with the creation of robust learning needs analysis and propose, design and deliver fit for purpose solutions to meet their requirements.
" Manage the full training cycle (analysis/design/delivery/evaluation), ensuring demand and capacity plans enable services achieve compliance with all statutory/mandatory training requirements.
" Work with managers and colleagues to develop and implement effective onboarding/induction programmes and materials.
" Organise quality learning and development programmes and events as required, including selecting appropriate facilities and commissioning providers.
" Coordinate the Apprenticeship Programme and support to maximise the use of apprenticeship opportunities and new pathways.
" Evaluate all learning and development activity at individual, team and organisational levels, including the measurement of the return on investment.
" Identify and secure external funding and effectively manage the utilisation of funding for learning and development activities.
" Maintain Management Information Systems to ensure the accurate recording and reporting of learning and development data and production of robust compliance reports to meet regulatory needs (Ofsted, CQC etc) and aid decision making across the Foundation.
" Lead the development of a new Learning Management System (LMS), supporting the review of processes and implementation of the LMS with the supplier.

Skills and Knowledge Required


" Current knowledge of learning & development best practice
" Excellent planning and organisational skills
" Ability to respond positively and remain resilient in a busy and changing environment
" Knowledge of statutory and legislative training requirements within a care and education environment
" Ability to work alone without direct supervision
" Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
" Proven problem solving and decision making skills
" Strong communication skills and customer service focus with the ability to develop and maintain credible working relationships with people at all levels
" Computer literacy/advanced IT skills and the ability to interrogate, analyse and validate computer-based record systems in order to ensure accurate reporting
" Ability to present information in a professional and credible manner through effective verbal and written communication skills
" Knowledge and understanding of the issues affecting care, schools and education sectors and charities

Qualifications and Training Required
" Level 5 / CIPD qualification or equivalent proven experience of working at this level within L&D
" Recognised adult teaching qualification
" Evidence on CPD
