Laboratory Assistant - Part time
Southampton
Approximately 12 hours per week
£10-12 per hour dependent upon experience

The Company:
Brook Street are pleased to offer an exciting opportunity to work with a highly successful cosmetic manufacturer in Southampton. My client is looking for an experienced Laboratory Assistant to join their innovative team within the quality control department.

The Role:
You will perform laboratory tests following good protocols for cleanliness and health and safety in order to produce quality assessment. In a high-pressured role, you will keep up to date with technical developments, collecting and preparing samples and ensure the laboratory is well-stocked and resourced. You will be required to record and interpret results accurately and carry out administration duties as required.

Your Skills:
A quick learner, you will need to demonstrate a 'can do' attitude, be able to work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment and possess an excellent knowledge of laboratory competences. You will need to be flexible, autonomous, proactive and quick to adapt with an ability to maintain and calibrate technical equipment. A full UK driving license is also essential for this role as you will be required to travel between facilities.
