Are you looking for a Part Time Lab based role?

Our client based in Southampton is looking for a experienced Laboratory Assistant, to support their quality control department.

A quick learner, you will need to demonstrate a 'can do' attitude, be able to work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment and possess an excellent knowledge of laboratory competences and happy to carry out administration work at a computer. You will need to be flexible, autonomous being, proactive and quick to adapt.

Responsibilities
" Perform laboratory tests following good protocols for cleanliness and health and saftey in order to produce quality assessment
" Carry out routine tasks accurately
" Follow strict methodologies and analyses
" Collecting and preparing samples (may require travelling to alternative sites)
" Record, and interpret results, against specifications to present to quality department
" Ensure the laboratory is well-stocked and resourced and everything is clearly and correctly labelled
" Keep up to date with technical developments, especially those which can save time and improve reliability
" General office administration tasks
Experiences and Skills
" Familiar with laboratory procedure/work
" Good hand-eye coordination, to use technical equipment with accuracy
" Ability to maintain and calibrate technical equipment
" Time management skills
" Ability to multi-task
" Flexible to work in small but busy team
" Excellent attention to detail, thorough and accurate
" Self-motivated
" Good IT skills
Requirement
" Must have a UK driving license and preferably a car, as you will be required to move product between our storage facility in Winchester and 2 sites in Southampton.


£10-12 per hour dependant upon experience

Approx 12 hours per week
