Are you a Physics Graduate or have experience in using/aligning lasers, seeking a new exciting engineering opportunity?

Then this could be the perfect opportunity for you!

My client is a growing company with many varied and interesting projects going on at any one time. They started as a small company making bespoke laser systems for cleaving and lensing optical fibre for the telecoms industry. They are looking for a Laser Process Development Engineer to join their growing team, on a full time, permanent basis. £24,000 to £30,000/yr depending on experience with great benefits.

Your key responsibilities will be;
oYou will develop new processes through experimentation and analysis of results.
oYou can design a set of experiments to find the appropriate laser process conditions to fulfil a customer's requirements.
oInteract with customers to determine what they need. This may include reading technical drawings or scientific papers.
oYou can write reports and record experimental data.
oFor small to medium part quantities it may also be necessary to make batches of sample parts.
oFor larger quantities it will be necessary to design, document and implement procedures so that larger batches can be produced successfully by a machine operator. This may be done as part of a small dynamic team as appropriate to the task.
