Are you able to work under own initiative and make logical conclusions based on experimental results and plan future work? Then this role would be perfect for you.

To be successful in this role you would have to develop new processes through experimentation and analysis of results, design a set of experiments to find the appropriate laser process conditions to fulfil customer`s requirements and write reports and record experimental data. Sometimes you will also have to interact with the customers to determine what they need, including reading technical drawings or scientific papers.

It may also be necessary to make batches of sample parts for small to medium part quantities and for larger quantities it will be necessary to design, document and implement procedures so that larger batches can be produced successfully by a machine operator. This may be done as part of a small dynamic team as appropriate to the task.

This company is rapidly growing and has expanded into a wide variety of micro machining applications with a wide range of lasers on site which we can use to design processes for industries ranging from solar to medical to micro-electronics.
