Job Description

Are you keen and experienced in leading a team of Business Development Managers to increase business revenue through proactive account management and new business generation?

We have an opportunity that is field based with UK Travel in Staffordshire.
This role requires steel sector materials knowledge and advantageously market knowledge of the laser cutting process and principles.

Knowledge of engineering, manufacturing, general fabrication and welding is essential and also Knowledge of CE marking and ISO standards.

In this role you will be overseeing a team of regional Business Development managers to deliver against team key measures.

You will need to manage your own diary to ensure that your team are supported and customer visits are undertaken to maximise sales and improve service. Approximate balance of 4 days on the road to 1 day working from home.

You will be responsible for profit and loss, overseeing a team of Business Development Manager's to manage and develop existing accounts to increase spend in conjunction with the internal sales and support team.

You must only apply for this role if you are confident you will be able to:

Record and report field-based sales activity for the UK using the CRM system.
Lead in the regeneration of lapsed accounts.
Lead your team and self-generate new business.

You will need:
Knowledge of field sales best practice, tools and tactics.
Management best practice.

And it is essential you have:
Drivers licence essential due to nature of job.
Field based sales experience with proven results.
Proven experience of self-lead generation and business development.
Proven experience in account management and customer retention.
Management experience.
Proven experience of working on your own as a self-starter.

You will need to demonstrate
Managing people - delivering through a successful team
Leadership - leading by example and inspiring others to do the same
