Brook Street are delighted to be working with a manufacturing business who are seeking a Lead Maintenance Engineer. This a full time permanent opportunity that will involve working over time hours on Saturday morning. We are seeking a highly motivated, tenacious and team-oriented leader. The successful candidate will have welding experience as well as proven experience in maintenance management to support sustainable production in a high-speed manufacturing environment.
The successful candidate needs to have demonstrable skills in the following areas:
" Display a positive attitude and practice strong work ethics
" Develop preventive maintenance program across all key areas and equipment.
" Direct leadership and ensure our team comply with safe work practices and procedures.
" Responsible for executing preventative and predictive strategies.
" Ensure timely repair and corrective action for all major breakdowns
" Responsible for developing and driving world class maintenance
" Project management: both internal maintenance projects, and minor contractor projects.
" Maintain spare parts inventory. Identify and order needed parts, maintain tracking system.
" Develop preventive maintenance program across all key areas and equipment.
" Manage staff holidays, absence, performance, and discipline
" To undertake any reasonable request by a line manager, in assisting in the production process

Requirements
" Experience in maintenance / equipment management / leadership role.
" Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency of Lean Manufacturing principles.
" Experience developing and building a successful maintenance program.
" Experience leading and mentoring a team of maintenance personnel.
" Engineering degree
Applicants should have a sound knowledge of mechanical drive systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
" Welding experience, ideally to coded welding standard.
" Experience being responsible for Health and Safety.
" Candidates should have a sawmill or a food/ production process facility.
