Job Description

A fantastic role funded for two years. A new initiative launched by Birmingham City Council comprising of locality based networks around district boundaries. Bringing together voluntary, community and social enterprise sector organisations and groups as well as statutory agencies to engage, work with and support older adults and communities.


Longstanding prevention services operating across Birmingham, supporting some of the most vulnerable citizens within the Community.

You will be working with Birmingham City Council around analysis and evaluation of prevention activities, to develop an exit strategy for support and evaluation function. To lead coordination of securing additional resource for undertaking evaluation.



You need to be able to demonstrate experience of evaluation.
You will need to demonstrate experience of stakeholder management on evaluation activity. To include commissioners and delivery agencies.
You will need working knowledge of evaluation of interventions for older adults.
Working knowledge of evaluation of interventions for older adults
Working knowledge of evaluation of community development.
Proven track record of desk based research and consequent production of recommendations.
Demonstrable experience of implementing a wide range of qualitative evaluation methods
Proven track record of drawing conclusions from large scale quantitative data.
Demonstrable experience of evaluation design
Working within a culture of continuous improvement and proven experience of implementing and maintaining a range of quality assurance processes.
Proven track record of disseminating findings to delivery organisations to produce on the ground changes to practice.


You must have:
Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to facilitate and provide information to a wide range of audiences.
Evidence of working at a strategic level.
Excellent interpersonal skills with a proven ability to manage challenging and competing demands, respond to change and act under pressure.
Excellent attention to detail in the production of reports and paperwork.
Demonstrable ability to work effectively within and lead a team, to build and maintain effective working relationships.
ICT literate and familiar with a range of basic software packages
