Do you have experience working with young people and are looking for a new challenge? We have opportunities to work within a further education college supporting young people with a variety of vocational courses.
The college is set within beautiful rural grounds and accommodates a variety of subject areas including sports, bakery and working with animals. They are looking for enthusiastic learning support assistants to support either on a 1-2-1 basis or with a group.
Shifts are available part time and you will be required to be available to work from 0830-1630. You will work to support students with a variety of needs, including autism and emotional and behavioural difficulties. This will include minimising their anxiety within the college environment and helping them to understand the tasks and achieve the best possible outcomes. You will also help them to prepare for adulthood and to develop their independence. During your time at the college you will be expected to get stuck in with the lessons, which includes both theory and practical; some of which may be outside or with animals.
Shifts are paid at £8.50 per hour. You will also benefit from accrued holiday pay and a pension scheme.
This is a very rewarding role and if it sounds perfect for you we would love to hear from you! Please call Georgie on 01604 631797 or email your CV to apply for this role.
