Learning Support Assistant (LSA) - SEN

Job Description

A well-established reputable school is now recruiting for a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) in Thornbury, Bristol. You will be working with children between the age of 6 - 19 year olds who have special educational needs (SEN), Autism, OCD, epilepsy and will display challenging behaviour.

Main Job Role:
- Supporting the students within an education environment
- Deliver all aspects of the school`s curriculum in line with the school`s curriculum policies (numeracy, literacy, communication skills, topic-based project work, life skills, physical education, drama, music, art, craft and Therapies) etc.
- The LSA will work in a wide range of settings in the classroom and outdoor curriculum (craft sessions, farm, gardening, sports and indoor swimming on site)
- The company believes in Positive Behaviour Management (PBM) and therapeutic approach like team teach 2 and MAPPA

Qualifying candidates:
- Must have previous experience with challenging behaviour or SEN

Contract / terms:
- Salary is £15,621 - £16,698 per annum
- Mondays to Friday (40 hours a week)
- Shifts are: 8:30am - 5pm with 30mins lunch
- You will work 41 week out of 52 weeks per years
