Job Description
A well-established Education and Residential Service are recruiting for a Support Worker in Dorset. You will be supporting high functioning people Children & Young People between the age of 14 - 25 who have Autism, Aspergers, ADHD, anxiety and mental health who will display challenging behaviour.
Main Job Role:
- Supporting the students within an education environment
- Deliver all aspects of the school`s curriculum in line with the school`s curriculum policies (numeracy, literacy, communication skills, topic-based project work, life skills, physical education, drama, music, art, craft and Therapies) etc.
- You will work in classrooms as well as in the care homes or outdoor curriculum (craft sessions, farm, gardening, sports and indoor swimming on site)
- No personal care will be required
Qualifying candidates:
- Have life, paid, personal or voluntary experience in care (any setting / sector)
- Must be 18 years old and over
- You will be driving the company car, so you need to have a CLEAN driving licence
Contract / Terms:
- Salary is £18,200 - £19,552 per annum = £8.75 - £9.40 an hour
- Shifts will be 8:30am till 5pm
- Monday - Fridays (no weekends)
- Averages to 40 hours a week
- Part time maybe considered depending on what hours and days you can do
