Job Description

HMCTS - Learning Support Officer
Location: Leeds City Centre
Duration: 9 - 12 months
Hours: Monday - Friday (37 hours)
Pay: £10.75ph


Role Overview:
We are currently recruiting for a full time Learning Support Officer to join the HR People Capability Team with our client, The Ministry of Justice based in Leeds City Centre. The role will include supporting multiple project and service teams to assess learning needs arising by changing ways of working by designing, developing and where appropriate delivering training products. The suitable candidate will operate within a flexible team, collaborating to support multiple project and service teams at the point of need.


Responsibilities include:
- Organising training events, writing and issuing communications, uploading content to learning platforms and providing face to face training when required
- Working with project and service team analysing learning needs
- Supporting project and operational team to agree with appropriate learning interventions to meet service needs
- Improving products after pilots in accordance with the Learning Evaluations Approach
- Collating Learning Evaluation data and facilitating sessions to review the data
- Identifying areas of improvements for upcoming learning designs and actioning said improvements
- Taking lead on the planning, design and development of learning interventions; including e-learning, interactive learning materials and face to face training materials
- Supporting technology projects to assess levels of user intuition and learning needs for its users (employees) of new technology
- Identifying areas to build learning in to technology products for employees

The team will work in a collaborative and flexible way. Depending on project/service team demand the suitable candidate will not be expected to undertake all the key activities above; they may focus on one or two across numerous projects/services.


Skills & Criteria:
- Proficient in full Microsoft Office suite and emerging digital technology
- Digital design / Presentation skills
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- Experience designing innovative learning products
- Effective planning and organisational skills
- Ability to interpret and understand complex information
- Enjoys working as part of a team
- Has a keen interest in technology
- Experience with self development and the development of others
