BS Social Care have an exciting new opportunity for a Leaving Care Support Worker to join our well-established client's new home, opening in the Wirral.

You will be working in a mixed home for 4 young people aged between 16-18 who have left residential care and are transitioning into life as young adults. This can be an intimidating period for care leavers and we are looking for someone with the passion, empathy and drive to guide them.

The main purpose of this role is to work closely with the young people to support them with day to day life skills, employment and education, appointments and any other challenges that adult life might bring.

The young people in the home may be experiencing complex needs as a result of their backgrounds. This could be mental health needs, offending, emotional behavioural difficulties and so on. For this reason, we would ideally be looking for someone with mental health, or complex needs experience.

The shift patterns for this role are yet to be confirmed but you will be working days and evenings, and you will need to have the flexibility to do some weekend work. You will work a total of 35 hours a week and the salary for this role is £18500 per annum.
