Job Description

Salary: £33,000 - £35,000 per annum - dependant on qualifications & experience
Location: Workington
Contract: Full-time

Due to expanding training business, our client is seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Electrical & Electronic Engineering. The position would suit a highly-motivated individual with a keen interest in the development and delivery of innovative and effective training programmes with a strong vocational element.

Please note: You do not have to hold a formal teaching qualification to apply for the trainer / lecturer roles as these will be provided

Main duties & responsibilities:

The successful candidate will contribute to teaching, project supervision, and curriculum development in the fields of electrical or electronic engineering.

Teaching duties will extend from Level 3 (Bridging programme) to Level 6 Bachelor of Engineering with Honours.

Essential Skills & Qualifications

This role will require the following core competencies:

  • A minimum of BEng Hons at Class 2.1 in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or a relevant engineering or science discipline.

Desirable Skills & Qualifications

  • A postgraduate qualification in a relevant discipline; PgCert Ed or equivalent.
  • Experience in the application of electrical or electronic engineering in an industrial, research or academic environment; knowledge of the civil nuclear industry.

For less experienced candidates, Gen2 will consider appointment at a reduced salary with the expectation that the individual will undertake appropriate training and professional development, including working towards a recognised teaching qualification.
