Job Description

Our public sector client is seeking a Legal Secretary to join the team

Our client has advised that the role is full time hours Monday to Friday and temporary ongoing at present

You will be responsible for providing a secretarial and administrative support service to the Head of Legal Services and to the solicitors in Legal Services. In addition you will play a vital role in the implementation and ongoing review of ISO
The main duties of your role will include:
Audio and copy typing
Documentation/post handling
Recording/arranging meetings
Telephone calls
Filing
Minute taking
Transcribing time records
Preparation of Pleadings and Legal Documents
Preparation of Briefs for Counsel
Preparation of Booklets of Documents for presentation in Court
Notifying witnesses of hearings


To be considered/shortlisted for this role, you must have OCR/RSA Stage II Typing or equivalent level of typing qualification, plus, A BTEC National or equivalent qualification plus at least 1 year`s relevant experience, or, 5 GCSE (`O`) Levels or equivalent qualification plus at least 2 years` relevant experience; or, Exceptionally, candidates not holding the above level of qualifications but with 3 years` relevant experience may also be considered

In return, you will be paid an hourly rate of £9.81 per hour, paid on a weekly basis
