Job Description
Job Title: Legal Secretary
Salary: Negotiable
Location: HU1
Our client is looking for a driven and hardworking individual who has an interest/passion in Legal to join them as a Legal Secretary.
Main Responsibilities:
As a Legal Secretary your day-to-day responsibilities will be:
- Preparing, typing, and filing legal documents, such as wills, contracts, and subpoenas
- Managing correspondence and responding to client's enquiries in person, via email, or by telephone
- Organising diaries, scheduling appointments, and arranging meetings
- Audio typing from digital dictation, transcribing interviews, and conducting legal research
- Gathering information required for cases, such as accident reports or medical records
- Scanning, photocopying, and faxing
Desired Skills and Knowledge:
- Adequate knowledge of the legal system, procedures, and terminology
- Ability to copy and audio type
- Outstanding organisational, communication, and time management skills
- Profiecient in Microsoft Office
- Excellent verbal and written skills
- Polite, friendly, and professional
- Trustworthy, and reliable
- Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
- Good attention to detail
