(12 Month Maternity Cover)

We are seeking an experienced legal secretary/assistant to work in our property department. Experience in a similar role and a good knowledge of the conveyancing process are essential.

The candidate will also have demonstrable client care skills and will be used to a very fast paced environment. The candidate will also have the ability to use their own initiative, work effectively under pressure and understand the need to produce excellent work to strict deadlines. The role may suit someone looking for progression within the conveyancing environment.

Main Responsibilities will include:

Supporting the fee earner by ensuring all routine typing/administrative processes are undertaken along with co-ordinating diary commitments.
Dealing with completion of Stamp Duty Land Tax Forms and Land Registry Portal
Dealing with completion of Land Registration Forms.
Dealing with routine post, drafting straightforward replies as appropriate.
Reporting to clients on search results.
Administering filing including providing quotes, opening & closing files, storage and retrieval of client files in accordance with the procedures contained within the office manual.
Ensuring protocols are in place to protect the confidentiality of both the firm's and clients' documentation and information.
Attending to clients in person or on the telephone, providing support in a professional and friendly way and ensuring the firm's standards for client care are maintained.
Dealing with client queries whenever possible and referring matters to the fee earner as and when necessary.
