Job Description

A small independent Children Services are recruiting for Shift leader / level 3 qualified Support Worker for their 4 bed residential care home in Banwell, Avon (Somerset). You will be supporting 11 - 18 year olds who have EBD, attachment disorder, substance mis-use and may display challenging behaviour.

Main Job Role:
- Staff supervision / shift leading
- Practical, therapeutic and emotional support of children
- Overseeing house in manager`s absence
- In charge of rosters and covering shifts
- Update risk assessments, health & safety checks, care and support plans
- No personal care

Qualifying candidates:
- Need to have residential care home experience with adults OR children
- Must be a car driver with your own car
- You will need to have a Diploma / NVQ / QCF level 3 or above in Children & Young People`s Workforce or Health & Social Care

Contract / Terms:
- Salary is £21,630 - £22,660 per annum + £35 per sleep
- 24 hour shift patterns 12pm - 11pm SLEEP 7am - 12:30pm
- Full time 37.5 hours a week, 9 / 10 shifts a month
- Mondays to Friday plus alternative weekends
