Job Description
An opportunity has arisen for an NVQ Level 3 qualified Lift Service Engineer to join an established lift service and maintenance company, covering the South Coast area (Southampton, Bournemouth, Andover).
Working as a Lift Service Engineer brings responsibility for minor repairs and maintenance of all types of Industrial Lifts. All Lift Engineers will have a comprehensive engineering background with the ability to carry out minor repairs on passenger and goods lifts from various manufacturers.
As an experienced Lift Engineer you will be responsible for:
- Attend maintenance visits on vertical lift
- Carry out an effective risk assessment
- Completion of site log cards
- Ensure a high standard of quality and delivery of service
- Attend maintenance and call out visits on lifts
- Carry out minor repair work
- Participate in 24 hr call out rota
Key Requirements:
- NVQ level 3 within Lift Engineering or equivalent is essential
- Full UK driving license
- Proven experience in the maintenance and minor repair on a range of electrical, mechanical or electronic equipment, in the customer's environment
- Some experience of computer or PDA use is essential, as you will be required to use a mobile comms unit to log all calls and access customer and equipment information
You will be supplied with:
- Company vehicle and fuel card
- Company mobile telephone
- Full PPE and uniform
This role is paid door to door so your travel times in between clients shall also be paid. Salary is up to £40,000, D.O.E.
