Brook Street Recruitment is working on behalf of our client in Newtownabbey to recruit a new full time and permanent Lifting Equipment Engineer

Responsibilities:

Carry out daily service, maintenance and repair needs of lifting equipment, height safety and other relevant products/equipment and driving customer satisfaction
Document all inspections, maintenance and service repair work and supply/submit paperwork on a timely basis
Review all logs for open or outstanding work and communicate to the appropriate person in a clear and concise manner, oral and written
Seek to provide technical support to customers and to other service professionals as required
Control own spare parts inventory and ensure that spares and equipment movements are processed through the appropriate system
Maintain tools, spares, equipment and company vehicle in good condition; keep them secure and report any damage or loss immediately
Comply with and ensure compliance with all statutory, legislative and Company health and safety, Environmental and operative standards, policies and practices.
Assist with any appropriate workload as required.
Any other reasonable duties correspondent with the grade of the post.


Will be required to work alone and at times in remote locations across Northern Ireland as well as other regions of Ireland on occasion

Overtime and work other than Monday-Friday will at times, be required

Criteria:

Experience and proven success in a relevant role (2 - 5 years` experience)
Good standard of secondary education
Industry recognised qualifications in electrical/mechanical engineering ie; Certificate/Diploma/Time served apprenticeship/suitable LEEA qualifications
Valid Driving Licence
Experience in working on lifting equipment, gantry crane, hoist etc
Proficiency to interpret maintenance manuals, schematics and wiring documents
Organisational ability and good prioritisation/time management
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong safety mindset to ensure workmanship meets technical/industry standards
