Job Description

LITIGATION SOLICITOR WITH CONTENTIOUS PROBATE EXPERIENCE

I am recruiting for a Litigation Solicitor who has experience within Contentious Probate to join an established Firm based in Bedford. They are offering a basic salary of £35000-£45000 depending on experience the opportunity of quarterly pay rises (which could push salaries up by £4k each year) and an end of year bonus of 20%

This is an ideal role for somebody who is looking for a new role and has previous Litigation / Contentious Probate experience.

The role
Reporting to the Panel Deputyship/Supervising Partner, the successful candidate should be experienced in Litigation with a focus on Debt Recovery, Challenging Wills, Dispute Resolution- Executor & PR/Trust/Court of Protection, Estate Administration, Inheritance Act Claims, Bankruptcy & Insolvency and Professional Negligence, as well as Court of Protection work including Deputyship Applications, On-going Finance Administration, and Ancillary Applications such as Trustee Orders, Interim Orders, and Statutory Will Applications.

Daily Job Duties and Personal Specifications
oA minimum of 2 years PQE in the relevant area of law
oGood client care skills, provide professional and competent legal advice in accordance with SRA Code of conduct
o Strong IT skills
o Effective business development skills with proven marketing strategies
oCapability to generate fees in accordance with agreed targets
o Up-to-date knowledge and skills in compliance with Continuing Professional Development and internal training expectations
oProven experience of handling own caseload
oAbility to adhere to and manage deadlines
o Good drafting and writing skills, excellent communication and technical ability Person Specifics

Package
o£35000 - £45000 basic salary (depending on experience)
oThe Firm offers generous financial incentives with the opportunity of quarterly pay rises (which could push salaries up by £4k each year) and an end of year bonus of 20%
oThe Firm offers a three year (fast-track) career progression plan, where it is possible for the candidate to achieve equity partnership within three years.
